Anyone Can Crochet - Mobile Pouch
Anyone Can Crochet:
Single Crochet Project:
Mobile Pouch:
Among the many projects that can be made with single crochet , mobile project is an easy project. Mobile pouches can be made using any kind of stitches like single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet and even triple crochets. But this one with crochet is the easiest one. The only thing to be concentrated is the turning point initially and the place where the round starts and ends. The size of the mobile pouch can be altered according to the size of the mobile phone. Let us get started and make the easiest mobile pouch.
Materials needed:
- Yarn : Red Colour and White colour (Acrylic yarn)
- Hook : 3mm
- Yarn Needle
- Big Button
- Scissors
Method:
- To make this mobile pouch, I have taken acrylic yarn and 3 mm hook. But you can choose different types of yarn and the size of the hook according to the yarn type.
- I am starting with the red colour yarn.
- Make a slip knot and start making 20 chains.
- The basics of the crochet and the method of single crochet are given in the previous posts. Please check them out or click here.
- I am making 20 chain stitches based on the size of my phone. You can change it according to the size of your phone.
- Leave the first chain and start making single crochets from the second chain.
- To make single crochet, insert the yarn into the stitch and grab the yarn in the hook and pull it through the stitch.
- Now the hook will have two loops. Then, wrap the yarn in the hook and pull it through both the loops. This is a single crochet (sc).
- We have to make three single crochets in the second chain.
- After that, continue making single crochets all the way in all the chain stitches except the last chain.
- In the last chain, again make three single crochets.
- These three single crochets made in the last stitch are for turning of the pouch and gives it a perfect pouch shape.
- Now, we have to make single crochets on the other side of the chain stitches.
- The chain stitch is formed of a loop. Initially we have made single crochets in side the looponone side.
- While making the single crochets on the other side, they are made on the next loop of the chain stitch.
- Continue making single crochets all the way long until the end.
- When you reach the end, make a slip stitch with the first chain.
- While starting the next row, chain one and make single crochets all the way.
- When you reach the end, make slip stitch with the chain one made initially.
- Continue the same process until you reach the desired height.
- I made about 6 rows inked colour yarn. You can change the height, number of rows and yarn colour according to your desire and wish.
- At the end of the sixth row, I am changing the yarn from red colour to white colour.
- The procedure to change the colour of the yarn have been given in the previous post or click here.
- Repeat the same process of making single crochets with the white colour yarn.
- Alternate making the single crochets with red and white colour yarn until you reach the desired height.
- Once the mobile pouch reaches the height required for the mobile phone, make a slip stitch with the first chain made.
- Make an end knot and fasten off. Weave in the free end of the yarn with a yarn needle or the hook.
- Take a large button and stitch it in the outer side of the pouch.
- Let us make a chain using both colour yarns, I made about 50 chains.
- Stitch the chains made on the other outer side of the pouch, making a big loop.
- This is to close the pouch with the button.
- Easy single crochet mobile pouch is ready 😊
