This is my second video in the playlist 'Make it with Beads' in my YouTube channel. I have done many other things with beads but have not taken any videos of them. While making fish with beads, I did not have any model in my hand to make it. So, I was in a situation to to plan the design and model by myself. I drew the model and based on that, I made one of the two fishes which was perfect. After that, I took the video while making the other fish and then stuffed it with cotton. This fish model is very much beginner friendly as it has no difficult structures. Therefore, this can be tried by anyone who is very new to this art of making anything with beads. Let us get into the method of making fish with beads.

Materials Needed:

• Beads               : 2 mm (Light green, Dark green, Red and Black colours)
• String (Wire)   : 0.3 mm / 0.4 mm
• Needle             : very small (suitable for for wire and beads)
• Scissors           

Method :

• I am starting the fish from the body.
• Take the desired length of the string. Make a knot at one end of the string and insert the needle at the other end of the string.
• Take 4 beads in the string. Insert the needle back into the first bead through opposite direction. This forms the first 4 beaded structure.
• Now, extend the row horizontally. To do that, bring the string to the side bead. Take 3 beads in the needle and insert the needle back into the previous bead.
• This forms the second 4 beaded structure of the row.
• Repeat the same steps until we get five sets of 4 beaded structures in the row.

• Then we have to turn to make the second row. Bring the string to the top bead of the lastly formed 4 beaded structure.
• Take 3 beads in the string. Insert the needle back into the same bead through opposite direction.
• This makes the first 4 beaded structure in the second row.
• To make the second 4 beaded structure in the second row, take only two beads in the string.
• The other two beads are got from the previous beaded structures.
• Insert the needle into the top bead of the 4 beaded structure of the first row and then into the side bead of the first 4 beaded structure of the second row.
• This forms the second 4 beaded structure of the second row.
• Repeat the same steps to make other 4 beaded structures and turning process for the beads, until we make the 2 rows completely.

• When it is in the third row, we have to make the eyes of the fish with black bead.
• While adding two beads, we have to add one green bead and one black bead.
• Adding the beads in this way makes eyes of the fish in its place.

• Then continue the same steps as before until we get 5*5 square.

• When it is done, proceed to the face of the fish on the eyes side of the 5*5 square.
• The face of the fish is done by adding two more columns.
• There will will five sets of 4 beaded structure in the column with the eyes.
• From the five sets, next column should be decreased. So, we have to make three sets of 4 beaded structure in between the five sets of 4 beaded structure.

• The next column we make is the mouth of the fish.
• We have to make only one set of 4 beaded structure in between the three sets of 4 beaded structure.
• To make the one set, take 3 red beads in the string and insert in the side bead of the middle 4 beaded structure of the three sets in the previous column.

• Now, the face and body of the fish is done. Then we move on to the tail portion of the fish.
• The tail portion of the fish is same as that the face.
• There would be five sets of 4 beaded structure in the last column of the body.
• We have to make three sets of 4 beaded structures in between the five sets.

• And then, make one set of 4 beaded structure in between the three sets of 4 beaded structures.

• From the last bead on the one 4 beaded structure made, we have to make another 4 beaded structure.
• This one is done by taking 3 beads in the string and inserting the needle back into the same bead.

• Then, to make the tail form shape, we have to add two beads at each side of the lastly added 4 beaded structure which forms a 3 beaded structure.

• From the top bead of the two beads on each sides, make another 4 beaded structures.
• Doing this gives the tail portion of the fish a perfect shape.

• At this point, the tail may seem to be little wiggly and loose. It will become tight while joining the two sets of fishes together and stuffing them with cotton.
• Now, we have to make the fins of the fish at the top and bottom part of the body.
• On the top row of the fish, there will be five sets of 4 beaded structures.
• Among the five sets, the fins should be made in the third and fourth sets of 4 beaded structures.
• It is made by taking three dark green colour beads in the string and inserting the needle back into the the topes bead of the 4 beaded structure of the body row.
• The second 4 beaded structure is made by adding two beads in the string.
• Follow the similar steps to make another fin on the other side of the body of the fish.

• Make another fish similarly. Then we have to join both the fishes together to form a three dimensional fish.
• Joining is done by keeping the two beads from the fishes and the new two beads are added in extra.
• The joining beads are taken in the coloraturas as same as that of the body color, fin color and mouth color.
• Keep the two fishes exactly on one another. Bring the string to the outermost bead of the top fish.
• Take a bead in the string and insert needle into the bead exactly below the previous bead.
• Again, take one more bead in the string and insert the needle into the same previous bead.
• This forms a 4 beaded structure while joining the two fishes.
• Repeat the same steps until three fourth of the fish is joined.
• Take some cotton or other stuffing material of your choice and stuff the fish with it.
• Stuff the fish well and good. This gives the fish a nice three dimensional look and a fluffy fish.
• Once stuffing is done, complete joining the entire fish.
• This fish can stand on its own. Hence this can be beautifully kept in a showcase. Also, if you wish, add a chain to the fish and use it as a keychain.
• Beautiful, cute fish has been made with beads 😊
